First off, I saw someone mentioning a Michael Kors boutique *onboard* a Solstice cruise ship! Now, that’s interesting. I haven’t personally sailed on Solstice, but I gotta wonder if that’s the best bet. Cruise ship prices are…well, let’s just say they’re often inflated. They kinda have a captive audience, ya know? Unless they’re running some crazy sale (and I mean *crazy*, like “OMG, I’m buying 10 handbags!” crazy), you’re probably better off looking in port.
Speaking of ports, the whole “Michael Kors in Mexico” thing… I saw someone posted a list of stores. Seven locations, supposedly. That’s something, I guess. Thing is, that list is kinda useless *unless* you know *which* cruise ports those locations are near! Duh. Are they gonna be in Cozumel? Playa del Carmen? Puerto Vallarta? That’s the million-dollar question, isn’t it?
Okay, so my personal opinion? And this is just me, remember, I’m not some fancy travel expert: Do your research *before* you leave. Like, REALLY do your research. Don’t just assume there’s a Michael Kors right next to the tequila shop. Google is your friend! (and maybe a travel forum or two). Search specifically for “Michael Kors Cozumel” or “Michael Kors Playa del Carmen” *before* you disembark.
And hey, maybe you’ll score something amazing! Maybe you’ll find that one bag you’ve been drooling over for months at a steal. Or, maybe you’ll realize the prices are the same as back home and you’ll just buy another margarita. Either way, you’re in Mexico! Life is good.
