First off, anyone actually thinking they’re gonna stumble upon *dirt cheap* Chanel brushes? Get real. We’re talking Chanel, dahling! But, BUT! There *are* ways to, uh, kinda sorta, maybe not-entirely-break-the-bank when it comes to getting your hands on those fancy things.
See, I’ve been scouring the internet (eBay is my bestie, tbh), and there’s this whole world of “deals” going on. Like, eBay shouts about up to 75% off… which, okay, maybe it’s just for some random eyeshadow brush from 2008, but still! You gotta look, right? Gotta sift through the chaos and hope to strike gold. I saw something about free shipping too, which is a win in my books.
And then there’s Poshmark. Ah, Poshmark. A treasure trove of pre-loved (or, let’s be honest, sometimes *barely*-loved) Chanel. You can find brushes there, sometimes marked down *significantly*. The gamble is, of course, are they legit? Are they clean? Are they, like, gonna fall apart the second you touch them? It’s a risk, but a risk I’m often willing to take because… Chanel! Also I think you can get up to 70% off.
The thing that gets me, tho, is: are they REALLY worth it? Like, are those LES PINCEAUX DE CHANEL brushes REALLY that much better than, say, a decent set of synthetic brushes from Amazon? I read something about how they use techniques, but honestly it just feels like they’re saying words and hoping I’ll buy it. I mean, that “Start The Day Beautifully Makeup Brush Set” that’s Eco-Friendly, Vegan & Cruelty sounds much better, to be honest.
And don’t even get me started on the “Angled Makeup Brushes” on eBay. Are they the real deal? Are they gonna shed like a husky in summer? It’s a constant question mark. Maybe I’m just cynical but the prices on some of them seem too good to be true, and we all know what they say about things that are too good to be true.
