First off, I saw something about “handmade pieces,” like, where do you even FIND those? I mean, yeah, “vintage Dior watches” are a thing, and people are selling them, but the REAL question is: Are they legit? You gotta be careful out there, peeps. Too many fakes floating around. Makes ya wanna just stick to something newer, you know?
Then you got the whole “La D De Dior” thing. Victoire de Castellane designed it in 2003. I’m not gonna lie, I had to Google who that even *was*. Seems important, though, since it’s the “first watch designed.” First is always a big deal, right? Like, the OG. I wonder if they still make it? Probably, but with, like, diamond-encrusted everything and a price tag that could buy a small car.
And the “Chiffre rouge,” oh MAN. Apparently, that’s for the dudes. Which is kinda cool. Says it combines the “formal”…. Formal what? Formal *stuff*? I dunno. The description’s cut off! This is why research is hard, guys. You get all these little snippets and have to fill in the blanks yourself. I think this one’s meant to be all sophisticated and manly, you know?
Speaking of guys, what’s with the “Men ‘Dior Saddle’ Bag Savoir”? What does a saddle bag have to do with watches? Okay, maybe it’s just a weird search result thing. My brain is starting to hurt.
But back to the handmade Dior watch thing. I’m still stuck on that. I’m picturing some Italian artisan painstakingly assembling these tiny gears with tweezers. Or maybe not. Maybe it’s just a marketing thing. “Handmade” sounds fancier than “factory-made,” doesn’t it?
Ugh, I want one now. But like, a *real* one. Not some knock-off I found on the internet. Maybe I should just save up for a newer one. Or rob a bank. (Just kidding… mostly).
