So, this Speedy dude, he’s been kicking around the Indiana House of Representatives representing district 90 since, like, 2010. That’s a good long while, right? And from the looks of it, he’s a Republican. Shocking, I know.
What’s kinda interesting is this whole “Indiana Scorecard” thing. Seems like some group is tracking how he votes, and his scores are…all over the place? Career average of 45, then a 50, then a *20* (yikes!), then back up to 50 again. What the heck is going on there? Is he just having a good year and a bad year? Maybe he got confused, or just flipped a coin. Someone get him a calculator. I bet he only got that 20 for something really dumb.
Anyway, he’s *former* rep. now, because apparently he’s moving on up to be Indiana’s Secretary of Business Affairs under Governor-elect Mike Braun. Which, honestly, what does that even *mean*? Sounds kinda important, I guess? He’ll be, like, in charge of business…stuff? Oh yeah, that’s right, he is in charge of… I’ll be honest, I don’t really get it. I bet it involves spreadsheets. Lots and lots of spreadsheets. And probably golf outings.
It also looks like there’s a primary going on *to replace him* in the House. Four Republicans battling it out for his old seat. Good luck to them! Hope they’re not all as all over the place as Speedy’s scorecard, that’s all I’m saying.
And then, things get *really* weird. Like, random sentences about “Courroie de distribution cassé (rép. Speedy)” whatever that is. Some foreign thing? And “SpeedyRep” and promo tires and auto revisions?! Seriously, what even is all that stuff doing here? I swear, this research is confusing me.
